Let’s Save Money In The Grocery Store
Every time I start talking about saving money in the grocery store, my friends start talking about coupons. And while I do save lots of money with coupons, coupons weren’t where I saw the savings immediately when I decided to put in some effort. Here are a few easy things you can do to reduce your grocery bills.
First, leave the kids at home. I used to grocery shop with only my youngest two children while the others were at school. I often found myself buying things just because they asked for them. Sitting in the buggy, their little eyes were right at the level with all the new overpriced items. I can recall, paying $3.49 for a box of fruit snacks because they were the latest disney characters, where the box on the bottom shelf put out by the same company was only $1.99.
Second, eat before you go! It amazes me that if I stop for lunch or actually take the time to sit down and eat before I go to the store, nothing really seems all that appetizing so I don’t make any of those impulses.
